This is a model by Pfadenhauer and Klötzli (2014) of the altitudinal and latitudinal distribution of the world’s broad vegetation units. The upper limit line of the Alpine Tundra draws an oscillation in the Equatorial zone, where this limit is lower than in the tropics. In addition, the maximum of the Tropic of Cancer is at a higher latitude than that of the Tropic of Capricorn.
